Quick Start Guide: Fanvil X303‑2Wire Phone
Your Fanvil X303‑2Wire phone is equipped with a variety of keys designed to streamline your communications. This quick start guide will help you become familiar with the essential features and operations of your device.
Key Features and Functions
Soft Keys
-
The soft key buttons are below the LCD, and are contextual depending on what you are doing (on hook, dialing, on the phone, etc).
Navigate/OK Keys
-
Use the directional keys to scroll through menus and lists; press the central OK key to select items.
Phonebook and Voicemail Keys
-
The Phonebook key opens your contact directory.

The Voicemail key accesses your voicemail interface.
Conference and Transfer Keys
-
The Conference key allows you to initiate multi‑party conference calls.

The Transfer key is used to transfer an active call.
Hold, Redial, and Hands‑free Keys
-
The Hold key places a call on hold.
-
The Redial key recalls the last dialed number.
-
The Hands‑free key activates speakerphone mode.
Headset and Audio Control Keys
-
The Headset key routes audio to your connected headset.
-
Use the Volume Up and Volume Down keys to adjust audio levels, and the Mute key to silence your microphone.
Side Key
-
Long-press the Side key to access additional settings.
Basic Operations
Placing a Call
-
Dial the number using the standard physical keypad.
-
Pick up the handset for a regular call or press the Hands‑free key for speakerphone operation.

To use a specific SIP line, press the corresponding Line key before dialing.
Answering a Call
-
Pick up the handset to answer an incoming call.
-
For hands‑free operation, press the Hands‑free key (or use the dedicated physical headset connection if preferred).
Dialing from Directories
-
Press the Contact softkey to access your contact directory.

Scroll through the list using the navigation keys.
-
Select a contact and press OK to dial.
Dialing from Recent Calls
-
Press the Call Log softkey to view recent calls.
-
Select a call record and press OK to redial.
Placing a Call on Hold
-
During an active call, press the dedicated Hold key to place the call on hold.

Press the Hold key again (or select Resume if prompted) to retrieve the call.
Call Park / Call Retrieve
-
If enabled in your system, press the designated Park key to park a call.

To retrieve a parked call, press the corresponding Line key that shows the parked call indicator.
Transferring a Call
-
For a Blind Transfer, press the dedicated Transfer key, dial the target number, then press Transfer again.

For an Attended Transfer, press the Transfer key, dial the target number and press Dial, and once the recipient answers, press the Conference key to merge the calls, or the Transfer key to complete the transfer.
Muting a Call
-
Press the dedicated Mute key during a call to silence your microphone; press it again to unmute.
Listening to Voice Messages
-
Press the Voicemail button, or press the Menu softkey and select the Message option.

Alternatively, dial *97 to access your voice messages.

Enter your passcode when prompted and then press #.
-
Follow the voice prompts to listen to or manage your messages.
3‑Way Conferencing
-
Place the first call.
-
Press the dedicated Conference key to initiate a conference call and dial the next number.
-
The active call will automatically be placed on hold.
-
Press the Conference key again to merge the calls.
-
To exit the conference while leaving others connected, press the End Call option.
Forwarding Calls
-
Press the Menu softkey and select the Call Forward option.
-
Choose the desired forwarding type (Unconditional, On Busy, or No Answer), enter the forwarding number, and press Enable.

To disable call forwarding, re-access the Call Forward option and press Disable.
