Resetting Mitel deskphones to factory default

This article explains how to perform a factory reset on Mitel phones.

You can reset Mitel deskphones to their factory default settings using the phone interface or a web browser.

Resetting Mitel phones using the phone interface

  • Press the Options or Settings key on the phone.
  • Press the Advanced key on the phone.

  • Enter the phone admin’s password. The default password is 73738 or 22222.
  • Press Enter.

  • Go to Reset > Factory default, then select Yes in response to the prompt. The phone will perform a factory reset and reboot.

Resetting Mitel phones using a web browser

  • On your phone’s user interface, go to Settings > Status > Network to get the phone’s IP address.
  • Enter the phone’s IP address into the address bar of a web browser.
  • Enter admin as your username and 22222 as your password. If you see a warning about a certificate exception, accept the exception and proceed with the sign-in.
  • Go to Operation > Reset > Restore to Factory Defaults.
  • Click Restore. The phone will complete the factory reset, but won’t reboot.
