Your Yealink T46S/T46U phone is a cost‐effective, high‑performance IP phone designed for streamlined communication. This quick start guide will help you quickly get acquainted with the essential features and operations of your phone.

Speakerphone Key |
Toggle and indicates the hands-free (speakerphone) mode. The key LED
glows green when the hands-free (speakerphone) mode is activated. |

Keypad keys |
Allow you to enter numbers, letters, and special characters. If a
menu item has an index number, you can use the keypad keys to select the
item. |

Navigation Keys |
• Scroll through information or options displayed on the screen. • Access History and Directory respectively. |

Soft Keys |
Confirms actions or answers incoming calls. |

Speaker |
Provide ringer and speakerphone audio output. |

Reversible Tab |
Secure the handset in the handset cradle when the phone is mounted

Hookswitch |
• Pick up the handset from the handset cradle, the hookswitch bounces, and the phone connects to the line. • Lay the handset down on the handset cradle, the phone disconnects from the line. |
Key Features and Functions
Softkeys
- The T46S/T46U provides four softkeys: Call Log, Directory, DND, and Menu.
- Use the History key to review recent calls and the Directory key to access your contacts.
- The DND softkey toggles Do Not Disturb, while the Menu softkey provides access to additional settings.
Dedicated Physical Keys
- Handset, Speaker, and Headset keys for audio control.
- A dedicated Redial key for call redial.
- A dedicated Headset key for answering a call with your headset.
- A dedicated Voicemail key to access your voice messages.
- A physical Mute key to silence your microphone during calls.
Navigation Keys
- Use the directional (up/down/left/right) keys to scroll through menus and lists.
- Press the central OK key to select items.
Basic Operations
Placing a Call
- Dial the number using the physical keypad.
- Pick up the handset for a regular call or press the Hands‑free key for speakerphone mode.
- To use a specific SIP line, press the corresponding physical line key before dialing.
Answering a Call
- Pick up the handset to answer an incoming call.
- For hands‑free operation, press the Hands‑free key or the Headset key if using a headset.
Dialing from Directories
- Press the Directory softkey to open your contacts.
- Scroll through the list using the navigation keys.
- Select a contact and press OK to dial.
Dialing from Recent Calls
- Press the History softkey to view recent calls.
- Select a call record and press OK to redial.
Placing a Call on Hold
- During an active call, press the Hold softkey to put the call on hold.
- Press the Resume softkey to retrieve the call.
Transferring a Call
- For a Blind Transfer, press the Transfer softkey, dial the target number and press the B Transfer softkey.
- For an Attended Transfer, press the Transfer softkey, dial the number of the recipient, once the recipient answers, press the Transfer key to merge the calls.
Muting a Call
- Press the dedicated Mute key during a call to silence your microphone; press it again to unmute.
Listening to Voice Messages
- Press the Menu softkey and select the Message option, or dial *97, or press the dedicated Voicemail key.
- Enter your passcode when prompted, then press #.
- Follow the voice prompts to listen to or manage your messages.
3‑Way Conferencing
- Place the first call.
- Press the Conference softkey to initiate a conference call and dial the next number.
- The active call is automatically placed on hold.
- Press the Conference key again to merge the calls.
- To exit the conference while keeping others connected, press the End Call option.
Forwarding Calls
- Press the Menu softkey, select Features, and select the Call Forward option.
- Select the desired forwarding type (Unconditional, On Busy, or No Answer), enter the forwarding number, and press Enable.
- To disable call forwarding, re-access the Call Forward option and select Disable.
Call Park / Call Retrieve
- If enabled by your system, press the designated Park key to park a call.
- To retrieve a parked call, press the corresponding Line key that indicates a parked call.
